The Lenni Lenape Historical Society of Pennsylvania is based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. One of their brochures reminds us of the words of John F. Kennedy,

"We need to remember the contributions our forefathers found here and from which they borrowed liberally. Collectively their history is our history and should be part of our shared and remembered heritage."

The contributions of the Lenni Lenape are documented and memorialized here at the Museum. The award winning museum can be seen informally or on a group tour. There are also regularly scheduled participatory programs for the public. There is a gift shop with a wide selection of reference books on Native American history and culture, as well as other mementos for sale.

The society offers seasonal programs which celebrate the four winds and the four seasons. They present demonstrations of native dances, food preparation, corn planting ceremonies, and native tool making and construction techniques.

The museum nestles next to the Little Lehigh River, a tributary of the Lehigh, which flows into the Delaware just about 50 miles due north of where the Schuylkill joins the Delaware. Nature trails and spots for fishing are found along the banks of the river.
